Гемангиомы — это доброкачественные опухоли сосудистого генеза, редко выявляемые в средостении. Неспецифические лучевые и клинические характеристики обусловливают широкий дифференциально-диагностический ряд, что часто требует диагностического хирургического вмешательства. Нами представлен случай гемангиомы средостения у пациента с аденокарциномой сигмовидной кишки. Верификация патологических изменений в средостении в данной ситуации кардинально влияла на тактику лечения. Наличие лакунарного контрастирования, точечных кальцинатов и визуализация дренажных вен являются ключевыми характеристиками гемангиом.

Mediastinal hemangioma is a rare benign tumor which can sometimes mimic the clinical presentation and radiological findings of malignant tumors. Here we present a rare case of cavernous hemangioma in the mediastinum in a patient with colorectal cancer, which required histologic verification before onset of treatment. Type of contrast enhancement, presence of drainage veins and calcification are typical characteristics of hemangioma.
