<trans-abstract xml:lang="en">
<title>Introduction</title><p>Introduction: Medullary thyroid cancer is a rare neuroendocrine tumor and occurs in hereditary and sporadic forms. As in other NETs, somatostatin receptors are overexpressed in the cell membrane in more than 75% of cases of medullary thyroid cancer. Therefore, in recent years, radioactively labeled somatostatin analogues have been considered not only for assessing the prevalence of the tumor process, but also for the treatment of this disease.</p>
<title>Objective</title><p>Objective: Аnalyze the global and domestic experience of using peptide receptor radionuclide therapy 177Lu-DOTA-TATE in the treatment of patients with advanced medullary thyroid cancer.</p>
<title>Materials and methods</title><p>Materials and methods: In the period from 01.03.2024 to 01.08.2025, data from more than 30 foreign literature sources relevant to this topic were analyzed in the Pubmed, Google Scholar and eLibrary databases.</p>
<title>Results</title><p>Results: Of the studies confirm the feasibility of introducing 177Lu-DOTA-TATE PRRT into clinical practice for certain groups of patients.</p>
<title>Discussion</title><p>Discussion: PRRT 177Lu-DOTA-TATE allows achieving disease control in most patients: it can maintain disease stabilization with a small number of side effects, and in some cases patients manage to achieve a complete response (CR) and partial response (PR) to treatment.</p>
<title>Conclusion</title><p>Conclusion: In order to introduce PRRT 177Lu-DOTA-TATE into the broad clinical practice of treating metastatic prostate cancer, additional multicenter randomized controlled clinical trials are needed, as well as exploring the possibility of combining PRRT 177Lu-DOTA-TATE with other treatment options such as ITC therapy, chemotherapy and immunotherapy, as well as radionuclide therapy with other RFLPs.</p>
</trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>нейроэндокринные карциномы</kwd><kwd>соматостатиновые рецепторы</kwd><kwd>пептид-рецепторная радионуклидная терапия</kwd><kwd>радиофармацевтические лекарственные препараты</kwd><kwd>177Lu-DOTA-TATE</kwd><kwd>медуллярный рак щитовидной железы</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>neuroendocrine carcinomas</kwd><kwd>somatostatin receptors</kwd><kwd>peptide-receptor radionuclide therapy</kwd><kwd>radiopharmaceutical drugs</kwd><kwd>177Lu-DOTA-TATE</kwd><kwd>medullary thyroid cancer</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Wells S.A., Asa S.L., Dralle H. et al.
