Trofimova is related to improving the understanding of the pathophysiological and pathomorphological foundations of the formation of radiation semiotics in pathological processes of various etiologies. She owns priority domestic developments in the neuroradiology of HIV infection, neurooncology, radiology of coma, radiation diagnostics of demyelinating lesions, radiation diagnostics of infectious lesions of the central nervous system, fetal MRI. Under her leadership, analytical methods for comparing CT, MRI, and PET images were developed and implemented, and a new organizational and methodological concept of radiation examination of the population based on a megapolis model was created and implemented. For a number of years, he has been involved in the structuring of protocols of conclusions and the introduction of standards for the analysis of ray images.
